Hi, I’m Iwona – founder of Solva Services, a Virtual Assistant with a background in archaeology...
Yes, archaeology!
For nearly 20 years, I worked in both museums in Poland and in commercial field archaeology here in the UK. I coordinated exhibitions, collaborated with museums across Europe, and presented at academic conferences. After moving to Britain, I worked my way up from site assistant to supervisor and archaeological illustrator - always focusing on clarity, documentation, and getting the details right.
One of my key areas of expertise has been post-excavation work - checking the accuracy of field records, sorting and digitising site documents, creating organised digital folders, spreadsheets, and logs. I also prepared materials for archaeological reports and created illustrations to accompany them. This taught me how to manage large volumes of data, keep things tidy and traceable, and work with precision under tight deadlines.
When my son was born, I knew it was time for a shift - something more stable and flexible, but still meaningful. That’s when I created Solva Services.
Now, I bring the same methodical, calm approach to supporting small businesses.. Whether it’s managing documents, cross-referencing records, or keeping digital spaces tidy and accurate — I’ve done it all, often in muddy fields and pouring rain! That taught me something important: whatever the conditions, the work must be done right.
Over the years, I’ve come to value what makes working in the UK special:
punctuality, fairness, discretion, clear communication, and professionalism. These are values I naturally align with - and they guide how I work with every client.
I believe that trust is built through reliability and attention to detail. And that’s exactly what I offer my clients:
dependable, thoughtful support - delivered with care, accuracy, and respect for your time.
Whether you need regular support or occasional help, I offer professional admin and social media support designed to take pressure off your plate – so you can focus on growing your business.
I’m a proud Community Member of the Society of Virtual Assistants – the UK’s largest support network for professional VAs.
I’m committed to working to the standards and values expected of UK-based Virtual Assistants.
